[Bldg-sim] Displacement Ventilation for Airports

Title: Message
In American Solar Energy Society(I think) 2000(about) proceedings, an paper was written about a Bangkok airport system in a large terminal with roof glazing. This combined a CHW-cooled floor, displacement ventilation, and the use of a low-e coating on the underside of the roof glazing to minimize radiant heat transfer back down to the floor from the warm glazing in the upper zone. I think the authors were with Flack&Kurtz out of San Francisco, and Transsolar of Germany, who may have analyzed the system w/TRNSYS.

Hi everyone,

Has any one seen or heard of displacement ventilation used in airports? We know one terminal at Heathrow uses displacement ventilation systems.

Thanks
