Pat Bailey @ Geopraxis (pbailey@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) recently
provided us with an actual weather file in DOE2 format that we are using for a
similar calibration exercise. Most (90%+)
of the DOE-2 stuff we do is with new construction, so we just go ahead and start
with the typical weather file. But in the case of retrofit, where you are
trying to calibrate to existing usage, I think the actual weather is the way to
go. Will let you know in a few weeks how it turns out
;-)
I suppose you could also do the weather normalizing
separately, by comparing DOE output kW vs. metered kW in different wetbulb or
drybulb bins at different times of the year.
