[bldg-sim] solar absorption cooling system

Has anyone developped a TRNSYS type for such
systems, or in a more simple way, is there information on the way to
calculate or cuurent values of the efficiency of an absorption cooling
system .
We have done several solar absorption cooling system studies over the
past few years using TRNSYS. The projects ranged from detailed
design studies to calibration of system models to measured data.
The projects have utilized both steam-fired and hot-water fired chillers
with both single and double effect systems studied. As a result of
these projects we have developed numerous new component models for TRNSYS
( I believe Michael Kummert mentioned these models in an earlier
message).
These projects were also encapsulated in the TRNSED software which allows
novice TRNSYS users to study the effect of system parameters on
performance (in a nice customized, friendly front-end) without having to
learn the intricacies of the TRNSYS software. Several of these
projects could be potentially modified to suit your
application.
