[BLDG-SIM] why is energy simulation better?

i am a user of energy plus

someone asked me a question which was, "what makes energy simulation(in general) better than other calculation programs ?"...frankly i couldnt find a good answer for it .. i just know it is better that is all !! but could anyone tell me why it is better?....what is the mean difference between these two programs?
