Hi, Holly:
I am assuming you are using eQUEST. This web site is for
ALL energy simulation programs, not just certain ones, please
remember.
There are two obvious things i would
check:
1) Are you getting ELECTRIC how water heating? If so,
change your source to GAS.
2: In eQUEST, you must be connected to a LOOP if you want a
chilled, hot, or domestic water load to be satisfied by equipment. Change over
to the Detailed Edit mode, go to the Water Side Icon on the menus, and see if
your DHW equipment is attached to a circulation loop. If not, you will need to
do this.
3) Do you have a reasonable SCHEDULE for your hot water
load? Or ANT schedule operating to give the hot water
"life"?
Hope this helps.

Hello all,
I sorry that I have too ask this question…but more then once I have had this issue. After setting up my DWH system for my building, and having all my rate schedules set up correctly, I then do a run. On the BEUP, and other reports it does not show that the model is accounting for the Natural Gas DWH for the building. Can anyone give me an idea of what I am doing wrong?
