Does anyone have any updated average cooling load density data for typical LEED buildings? The old rule-of-thumb of 400 sq. ft./ton seems grossly outdated in today's high-performance design environment. I am now seeing residential cooling load densities at 1000 sq. ft./ton for high-performance green rated homes but was curious if anyone has a database of cooling load data for commercial buildings that may be used as a check figure when running LEED simulations. I see nothing in the USGBC resource area regarding this.
