[BLDG-SIM] Atrium-Multi-Level Space

Hello Vickie,

I created a blogtopic to help answer your question...

http://elcca-exchange.blogspot.com/2007/03/equest-multi-level-spaces.html

Getting the latest version of eQuest sure couldn't hurt, but I don't think that's the basic issue.  Timely your separate question on chilled beams, I'm interested to hear what people are doing to simulate these...

Regards
Brandon

Hi Brandon

Thank you very much for your reply.

Unfortunatelycouldn't find "conditioned height" in the "Zone Characeristics" screen as you indicated for me.

My current eQuest is version 3.55. Should I update my eQuest or any patch file I should install.

I really appreciate your help.

Kind Regards,
Vickie

Hi Vickie,

Are you seeing a "Conditioned Height" input box in the "Zone Characteristics" screen when you check the "Multilevel Space (atrium)" box (see attachment)?  If not, then you may have a problem with the shell -- a problem I have seen before but we were able to work around it.

Let me know if that's the case, and I'll try to put you in touch with someone from DOE2 who could help.

On the performance curve questions, haven't yet looked those very closely -- just using the standard ones out-of-the-box.

Brandon
