My interpretation is that this is not a naturally
ventilated space. You would need to provide filtered air in the quantities
stipulated by the Standard. I would assume that MERV 13 filtration is required
by LEED. The presence or absence of certain coils does not change the fact that
this system distributes fresh air through mechanical means to each
space. From: BLDG-SIM@xxxxxxxx [mailto:BLDG-SIM@xxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Virdi Permana Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2007 8:53 AM To: BLDG-SIM@xxxxxxxx Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Mechanical ventilation system Hello
All, I hope these questions are allowed
to be addressed in this group: If a building does not have heating
and cooling system but has mechanically ventilation system, is it still
considered a natural ventilated building as the section 5.1 of Standard 62
suggests? Does this building need to follow
section 6 of the standard 62? How about its compliance with EQ c5,
does it need to have MERV 13 air filters? Any information is greatly
appreciated. Thanks Virdiansyah "Virdi"
