[BLDG-SIM] creating budget cases

eQUEST comes with a “compliance engine” which will automatically create the reference case; but the reference building rule set for ASHRAE 90.1 has not been created (or has not been publicly released) that I am aware of. See volume 5 of the eQUEST documentation.

One of tasks I find myself doing repeatedly is creating budget cases, both for compliance and performance modeling.

I've been wondering if automated software could take a design building and automatically create the budget case.

I'm currently modeling in VisDOE and eQuest and may soon expand to TRNSYS.

Has anyone seen such add-ons for:

- ASHRAE 90.1-2001

- ASHRAE 90.1- 2004 ECB, and / or

- ASHRAE 90.1-2004 App. G?
